Bottle trees are a long-standing tradition in the South. Eudora Welty photographed them in Mississippi in the Thirties and they are still visible in rural areas, protecting homes by trapping evil spirits. It is said you can hear those spirits moan when the wind blows over a bottle tree.
Bottle Tree Amps is a small venture based just outside Jackson, Mississippi. We buy vintage tube equipment and, with the help of some very expert technicians and tube enthusiasts, set it up to channel the better spirits of our Southern culture.
